Home was opened by Sean Fawbush in 1994. It was opened to replace Skateboards Unlimited as Louisville's, "By the Skaters, for the Skaters" store. Since Home Skateshop was opened in 1994, the shop has been at three locations, if you include this one. To continue serving Louisville with great skateboard products, the shop was sold to Derek and Thom in January 2003

On June 14th 2004 Home Skateshop's website went live and in the future will also have online ordering.
